Know-how - both geological and technical - is of great importance in the natural stone sector. The Brachot Stone Expert Centre, headed by a doctor in geology, has compiled a detailed technical specification sheet for each of the natural stones in the Brachot-Hermant range. Those technical specification sheet can be downloaded from our website through your login. For all technical details regarding installation, use of glue, maintenance ect., but also for an expert's report, you can contact the Brachot Stone Expert Centre . NEW TECHNICAL INFORMATION NOTE OF THE BBRI (Belgium) ABOUT NATURAL STONE: ‚TV 228’ The BBRI has drawn up new Technical Information Note about Natural Stone, which will replace the previous ‚TV 205’. This new Technical Information (TV 228) is only available on the internet (www.wtcb.be, type „TV 228" when searching) and contains a lot of interesting information about natural stones: commercial and geological classification of natural stone, different types of surface finishes, tests (the most recent European standards are explained) and criterea for the use of the specific natural stone for certain applications. Already a large number of technical data sheets are available at present, on which you can consult the testing on certain materials according to the latest European standards of the BBRI. A second series of test are currently excecuted, in order to have the most currently used natural stones available on the market. In order to consult these technical data sheets, a password is required. You can obtain such a password by the BBRI. All technical data sheets not only contain the commercial name of the material, but furthermore a reference name, in accordance with the recommendations of the European standards and approved by the Technical Commitee. On top of that, the materials are devided into a commercial and scientific classification. You can also find information about the quarries, the geological age of the stone and the mineralogical – microscopic composition. Thanks to a search engine with different parameters, every user can select its natural stones according to his/here own criteria, based on the most recent European standards.This database will be kept up to date frequently and new technical data sheets will be added. Brachot-Hermant is seated in the Technical Commitee, who watches over the tests and composition of this Technical Information Note. Brachot-Hermant has also delivered a number of natural stones for these tests. The Brachot Stone Expert Centre will keep you informed in due time about all the novelties of this Technical Commitee.
