    Finishes

    2/2 selected
Honed: The surface of the natural stone is scoured until a warm, matt shine is obtained. The grain used for scouring determines the result obtained. Suitable for countless interior applications.
Sawn: Pure, untreated finish for the slab or tile the way it looks after the natural stone block has been sawn. The type of saw determines whether parallel grooves or circular marks can be seen. Mainly used for outdoor applications.

Combe Brune: fine-grained limestone from the Charente

Combe Brune is a French limestone, quarried in the Charente, France. The material is also traded under the name Barcy.

This limestone has a white-beige, fine-grained structure with very fine open pores and small fossils spread throughout the material. In appearance, Combe Brune is comparable to Blanco Paloma (Spain) and Cremo Bello (Turkey), both similarly pale, fine-grained limestones.

Combe Brune is available honed and sawn. The material is suitable for interior floors, interior walls and interior worktops, and is also resistant for exterior floors, facade cladding and monuments.

Like all limestone, Combe Brune is porous and not acid resistant. For applications with significant moisture exposure, a water- and grease-repellent impregnation is recommended. Veins, small open pores, fossils and colour variation are natural characteristics without technical disadvantage; fractures can be a technical disadvantage.
