Mediterranean Green: green-beige fossil marble
Mediterranean Green is a marble with a calm green-beige base, marked by fine fossil inclusions throughout the stone. The fossils give every slab its own pattern, while the muted background keeps the overall reading soft rather than busy. Its undertone leans warm, which makes it easier to pair than most green marbles: it sits comfortably with travertin, beige limestones, oak and warm metals, and contrasts cleanly with darker greens or anthracite stone.
Applications, finishes and formats
Mediterranean Green is suitable for interior flooring, wall cladding, bathrooms, pool surrounds and fireplace surrounds in both residential and commercial projects. We supply the stone in slabs and tiles, standard in anzano finish. Anzano is a slightly textured finish that sits between honed and bush hammered: it feels pleasant underfoot and softens reflections, which suits the natural calm of this stone. Other finishes are available on request. Like other fossil-rich marbles, Mediterranean Green benefits from proper sealing for kitchen, bathroom and outdoor use.
