Multicolor Red: Red Indian Granite with Black Bands and Burgundy Accents
Multicolor Red is a coloured Indian granite from Tamil Nadu, in southern India. It is also known as Samokar Red, Multicolor Red India and Multicolor Kanakapura. A red base with flowing black and grey bands gives the stone a lively, varied pattern typical of this metamorphic rock.
What sets Multicolor Red apart are its burgundy concentrations of garnet. They appear across the surface alongside black mineral concentrations and veins, are part of the stone’s character and have no technical drawback. Colour and pattern differ strongly between blocks, and even between slabs from the same block. For bespoke work, it is best to take the pattern into account. As a small sample only shows part of the picture, we are happy to agree on your selection in advance using several samples or photos of the actual slabs.
Multicolor Red is suitable for indoor and outdoor use: kitchen worktops, window sills, floors, stairs, vanity units, wall cladding and facades, patios, thresholds and memorials. Brachot supplies Multicolor Red polished and sawn as standard. Other finishes are available on request. Polished slabs are resin-treated during production for a deeper shine, and an impregnation adds protection against staining.
