Patagonia Quartzite: A Scenographic Stone from Brazil

Patagonia quartzite is one of the most scenographic natural stones available, quarried in Brazil and formed over millions of years of geological activity. Its extraordinary mix of cream, beige, black, grey and brown tones, alternating with translucent quartz and crossed by golden veining, makes every slab a one-off. The stone is particularly impressive in large formats and can even be backlit: light passes through the quartz areas, creating a striking partial-glow effect.

Patagonia quartzite is supplied in a polished finish, which produces a brilliant, sometimes sparkling lustre that intensifies the colours and brings out the translucent areas. Technically, it is a hard, dense quartzite with excellent resistance to heat, scratches and stains. It performs well in high-traffic environments and demanding applications such as kitchen worktops, bathroom surfaces, statement walls and flooring. With proper sealing, it retains its beauty and structural integrity over the long term.

    Quartzite, not granite

Patagonia is often sold as "Patagonia Granite", but technically it is a quartzite, which offers even greater resilience than granite in everyday use. At Brachot, we supply Patagonia under its correct geological designation, with documentation to match.
