    Finishes

    2/2 selected
Honed: The surface of the natural stone is scoured until a warm, matt shine is obtained. The grain used for scouring determines the result obtained. Suitable for countless interior applications.
Polished: The shiniest and smoothest finish by far, which presents the colours, veins and fossil structures at their most visible and intense. A mirror effect is created in dark shades.

Volakas Classic: A Greek Alternative to Carrara Marble

Volakas Classic is a white marble quarried in northern Greece, characterised by scattered darker grey to brownish veining set against a bright, uniform background. The grain structure is fine and consistent, giving the surface a calm, refined base with diagonal veins and cloud-like formations that add movement without disrupting the overall harmony. This natural variation makes every slab distinctive, and allows for striking vein-match and book-match compositions.

Thanks to its bright tone and elegant veining, Volakas Classic suits both contemporary and classic interiors, from flooring and wall cladding to bathroom and kitchen applications. As with all natural marbles, it is not acid or scratch resistant, so a honed or brushed finish is recommended for kitchen use, and a protective treatment can be applied for added stain resistance.
