City Hall Square in Tarn and Rose de la Clarté - Paris (FR)

City Hall Square, Paris, France

he Parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville In Paris has been completely transformed with a new 2,500 m² urban forest, featuring four groves and 150 trees, some already over 10 m tall and between 20 and 30 years old. This green renovation not only creates a cooler, more pleasant public space but also strengthens the plaza’s resilience to climate challenges. For the paving, we supplied Gris du Tarn and Rose de la Clarté granite from our Family Member Granitarn. These are two premium French materials chosen for their durability, visual uniformity, and timeless finish. Thanks to a meticulous reuse strategy, almost 100 % of the original tiles were carefully removed, preserved, and reintegrated. The joints were pre-cut to allow precise removal with suction cups. This is a method that should be standard practice, and which enabled a near-total recovery of the original material. This project is a perfect example of sustainable urban renovation, blending high-quality local stone with thoughtful green infrastructure. Congratulations to all the partners involved!
