The trendy character of terrazzo

TileSlabTerrazzo

Terrazzo brings warmth, frivolity, and a touch of nostalgia into your home for an interior with spirit and charisma.

To what does this ‘marble mosaic’ owe its popularity? The combination of the many shades of colour and the speckled appearance. What’s more, this trendy material is also strong and impact-resistant.

Variety of applications

Terrazzo is the interior trend of the moment. After it appeared in almost every home in the 1980s, this material is making a strong comeback. Although we used to see terrazzo mainly as a floor, today, the typical speckled pattern also appears in wall cladding, stairs, fireplaces, and other decorative elements, such as tables and vases.

As experts in natural stone and blended materials, we set the tone in terrazzo. We offer a wide number of colours and designs in our range. We can even produce a fully personalised terrazzo design on request, within a delivery period of six to eight weeks.

Choose the design that best suits you

Terrazzo exists in an endless variety of shapes and colours. A unique look is created each time based on the added pigments and the size and shape of the marble granules. The different variants of our terrazzo collection offer something for everyone: from inconspicuous, small speckles to busy, more pronounced patterns.

The terrazzo collection by Brachot includes both slabs and tiles. Tiles can be both standard and custom tiles, each with a honed finish. Other finishes are possible on request.

The standard tiles are available in the sizes 40 x 40 cm, 60 x 40 cm and 60 x 60 cm (thickness 2 cm). Terrazzo slabs can also be cut to size. The slabs are 305 x 125 cm and have a thickness of 2 and 3 cm.

Honed

The surface is scoured until it has a smooth, matt appearance. The grain size during sanding determines the final result.

Get inspired

Trendier than ever and maintenance-friendly

With terrazzo, you get a creative material that is not only contemporary and trendy but also very durable. Terrazzo is a blended material consisting of recycled marble grains and marble sand to which cement binder and colour pigment are added. In addition, terrazzo is also strong, impact-resistant, and has low water absorption, which makes it perfect for floors, stairs, fireplaces, and as wall cladding and decoration. However, it cannot be used outside.

Terrazzo is also very maintenance-friendly. With a minimum of effort and the right maintenance products, you can keep your terrazzo in top condition for a very long time. We are happy to give you advice and tips for durable results, from initial cleaning to daily maintenance.
