Silver River Marble: Fluid Veining in Natural Stone
Silver River is a pale brown-grey, fine-grained compact limestone, quarried in Turkey and offered within Brachot's range of decorative marbles. The stone is defined by a highly heterogeneous pattern of white to pale veining that runs through the material, giving every slab and tile a distinct, natural appearance.
Fossils and mineral concentrations may appear scattered across the surface. These are natural characteristics of compact limestone and have no effect on the stone's structural quality.
Silver River is available in polished and honed finishes, each bringing out the veining and colour variation in a different way. The pronounced veining also makes the material well suited to open-book layouts, where two adjoining slabs mirror each other's pattern for a striking, symmetrical effect.
As with other decorative marbles in this range, Silver River is intended for interior applications only. The stone is sensitive to moisture and should be installed with a mortar adhesive on a fully dried substrate. It is not naturally acid resistant; a honed or brushed finish is recommended where acid exposure is a concern, such as kitchen surfaces, as this reduces the visibility of any staining.
