Travertino Romano Classico: Italian classic makes its comeback
Travertino Romano Classico is a compact beige limestone with the typical hole structure of travertine. It is characterised by a highly heterogeneous structure with linear patterns ranging from white-beige to beige. This travertine comes from Italy and is instantly recognisable by its warm colour and pronounced lines.
For the finish, you can choose between a filled or unfilled look. With Travertino Romano Classico mastiqué, the open cavities are filled with a beige two-component adhesive ("mastic"), creating a closed, even surface. The cavities can also be filled with transparent resin, keeping the 3D structure of the cavities visible. If you want to preserve the natural character completely, opt for the arenado finish with open pores, for a slightly rougher effect.
Travertino Romano Classico has been a staple of architecture since Roman antiquity, and today the stone is well and truly back. Its warm beige tones align perfectly with the current preference for natural, earthy materials in interiors.
Travertino Romano Classico is mainly suited to indoor applications such as flooring, wall cladding and decorative elements. Outdoors, the material is only suitable for facade applications. The stone is available in slabs.
