The Best Choice for White Kitchen Worktops
From Quartz to Porcelain: Five Ways To Go White
White kitchen worktops remain incredibly popular and for good reason. White is neutral, fresh, and highly versatile. It pairs effortlessly with a wide range of styles, from classic to modern, and integrates seamlessly into any interior. White surfaces also create a calm visual effect and make smaller kitchens appear more spacious. But not all white slabs are created equal. Depending on your taste, from pure white to a natural stone look, there are different materials that truly make a difference. We’re happy to guide you through the best options.
1. The Brightest White
If you're looking for the whitest solid kitchen worktop, the best choice is Unistone Bianco Extreme or Unistone Bianco Assoluto – the brightest options in our range. Unistone Bianco Extreme is the whitest, with a slightly cooler tone. If you prefer a warmer white, Unistone Bianco Assoluto is a great alternative.
For a solid white kitchen worktop, we recommend a quartz worktop. Quartz slabs have a fresher colour, are easier to maintain, more cost-efficient to process, and more resistant to scratches. In addition to Unistone, our BQS range also includes white quartz composites such as Super Plus White (the whitest) and Bianco Assoluto (slightly warmer).

Solid white slabs are also available in porcelain (for example, Uniceramica Bianco Assoluto), but we generally don’t recommend these for kitchen worktops. Stains, grease marks, and streaks tend to show more easily, making them higher maintenance. You can certainly opt for ceramic, but a solid white ceramic worktop will require regular deep cleaning with a dedicated cleaner such as Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner.
2. White with Character
Looking for a white kitchen with just that little bit extra? Then white granites with subtle (or not-so-subtle 😉) grains are a stylish way to bring more character into your space. They’re not pure white, but they add a natural, lively touch to your interior while still offering the calm, clean look of white.

Granite is also the most robust natural stone: unmatched in terms of value for money and highly resistant to stains, scratches, heat, and acids. In short, granite remains the go-to choice for a long-lasting kitchen worktop.
3. White Marble Looks
Marble looks stunning, but it’s not the most practical solution for a a heavily used kitchen. While it naturally resists heat and stains, it’s more sensitive to scratches and acids compared to materials like granite. If you do opt for marble, we recommend a matte finish such as honed. Polished marble surfaces are simply too delicate for intensive use.
Fortunately, there are excellent and safer alternatives for those who love the look of marble. We offer a wide range of quartz composite and porcelain with a marble effect. This way, you get the elegant appearance of marble combined with the durability and ease of maintenance of modern materials.

4. White Terrazzo Style
Love the look of terrazzo but want a durable, low-maintenance worktop? Then quartz composite with a terrazzo look is a smart alternative. It combines the distinctive and on-trend terrazzo style with the strong performance of quartz.
Please note: real terrazzo (cement-based material) is less suitable for heavily used kitchens. These quartz worktops are a clever and long-lasting alternative.
5. Textured White Porcelain
Looking for a white, natural look with character? Then porcelain Uniceramica® worktops with a travertine texture are an excellent way to add both warmth and subtle structure to your kitchen. Think of the visual and tactile structure of Uniceramica Travertino Bianco (strutturata finishing), Uniceramica Perla Avorio (strutturata finishing), or Uniceramica Travertino Light (naturale finishing). These slabs combine a clean white base with subtle, natural textures – creating a calm yet distinctive look.
