    Finishes

    3/3 selected
Anzano: A somewhat rougher finish, compared to matt or polished finishes, that nonetheless has an especially pleasant feel.
Blue Honed: The blue honed finish creates a smooth, even surface achieved by using different grit levels. On Irish Blue Limestone, the grit coarseness determines the final colour — from pale blue-grey with a matte texture and faint circular patterns to darker tones — making this finish suitable for interiors such as worktops, flooring and cladding, as well as exterior elements like furniture, window sills and plinths.
Dark Honed: The dark honed finish creates a smooth, even surface achieved through the use of fine grits. On Irish Blue Limestone, the grit level determines both the colour and texture — the finest grit (500) produces a dark blue-grey to black appearance with well-defined crinoids and contrasting white fossils, resulting in a smooth matte finish ideal for interiors such as worktops, flooring and cladding.

Kilkenny Limestone: For Centuries, A Sustainable Material

Irish Blue Limestone, one of Ireland’s most valuable natural resources, has been cherished and used for centuries. This characterful and versatile stone finds its way into many applications, from standout features in contemporary home design to leading roles in architectural projects stretching from rural Ireland to downtown Manhattan.

Different shades and finishes bring out the stone’s many expressions in colour and texture, responding beautifully to light and gaining depth over time. With full respect for its rarity and uniqueness, Kilkenny Limestone is committed to ensuring the stone is used correctly and meaningfully in today’s buildings and landscapes.

Kilkenny Limestone applies a strict quality-driven approach. Every step undergoes rigorous and regular checks – from the inspection of raw materials to monitoring the entire production process, through to the final approval and guarantee of each product.
